Through his hard work and dedication he made the following achivements:

Joseph Bwitirire Katatumba I believed that “the best thing you can do for your child is education” — a conviction that shaped everything he built. His dream of turning Bwenkoma into a thriving hub was carried forward by his children after his death, giving rise to Katatumba Academy Ltd, the Katatumba Free School, Katatumba Industries Ltd., and the Katatumba Resort Hotel — institutions that today bear the family name across Uganda and beyond.
He was murdered by armed thugs in his own home on 20 September 1979, but the scale of mourning at his burial spoke to the depth of respect he had earned in life. More than four decades later, his name remains synonymous with integrity, service, and family enterprise — a foundation on which generations of Katatumbas continue to build.
